As I was on the way to my dealer and had almost reached my destination, rescue was prompt - the 3 wheeler was on the workshop hoist in no time, and the diagnosis clear. On the hoist next to it sat another 3 wheeler with bevel box problems...
Jokes aside, these bevel boxes are not only a nuisance (minor or major), but can become a safety issue. I will express this concern in no uncertain terms to my dealer, and ask him to forward my mail to the factory.
