Well I never, I came up with that idea months ago, made a test piece and tried it on my car. It works. So I have produced an engineering drawing and passed it onto MMC for their evaluation.
Something that did look a little odd to me though, in RS & S's photo it shows a fixed spacer and a cap head bolt through the lot. This tells me they have drilled out the taper in the steering arm and used a 5/8ths bolt through the whole lot. Mmmmmm
My design keeps the existing taper and is fully adjustable for each individual car during set up to allow for manufacturing tolerances.
My last point is I cannot believe what they are charging for this modification, I think they are having a laff.
