Starring is the biggest risk, and the Roadster has one or two small ones.
Ken - I don't fix the flaps because I want to take them off occasionally for a clean!!!!!
On the Roadster though I cleaned the vulnerable spots down to clean paint and added Wickes imitation roof leading. It's plastic with a bitumen base and stuck really well. It's in one of my 'how to' posts.
