Personally, I love the layout as it's a cross-over from the earlier flick swiched dashboards with the large speedo and combo dials. The large speedo is mounted in the correct place - directly in front of the passenger and the rev-counter mounted in direct line of sight for the driver - perfect!

Morgan instruments of the 1960s and early 1970s were very 'traditional', partiularly in comparison with the mainstream cars where dashboard design was heavily influenced by US trends?

By the way Richard, have you had trouble with the two-position headlight switch failing? I have probably gone through three or four switches over the years. they burn out with the load from the lights. I always intended wiring in another 6RA solenoid to isolate the switch. It's fitted to the toolbox along with the other two; the mounting holes were pre-drilled at the factory possibly for the US market or similar.
