Who knows? According to Honest John in yesterday's Telegraph - in response to a reader's statement that Pirelli advised that their winter tyres were good even for high summer in Italy - he said "Winter tyres used to have softer compounds with more rubber and could overheat in high temperatures. The latest technology seems to have solved that problem."


I would be sceptical to that claim considering the performance of pirelli tyres in formula 1.
