By the way in recent tests of winter tyres it seems Michelin Alpin tyres always come out at or near the top. The Pirelli are generally about half way down the list.
I'd confirm that. We have Michelin Alpin winter tyres for the Volvo V70 & they are brilliant. For the Mini we have Pirelli winter tyres & 'tho good, they're not as impressive as the Michelins.
