Can someone confirm please has there really been any difference in the front suspension on recent build M3W's?
I submitted pictures of mine ( early Nov build ) a week or so ago and it was commented it was the 'old' suspension.
Do we actually have any evidence cars are being built with a new front suspension , or is is this all supposition / wishful thinking ?
Most importantly , if so what is the actual difference ?
Back on topic , I guess fitting this Empire kit would invalidate the warranty , for what its worth ?
The pictures above show the same suspension setup as my June 2013 car, so I'd say it's what we're calling 'Old' suspension. If there is to be a factory revision (and I think we know it's coming), then I am lead to believe it'll be 2014 before it hits the production builds, from what I've read on here.
As far as the Empire Kit and its impact on warranty - you might argue that it would invalidate the warranty on the shocks and ball joints, but little else. Whether or not you'd changed your top wishbones would have no impact on a warranty claim for a compensator for example. I see no issue with going that route and I intend to do just that. I will speak to my dealer about it first, but I am sure there'd be no problem whatsoever.
