Is your recommendation to use high octane fuel and a booster based on experience or just a suggestion emiguy? Just wondering as I get the high RPM pinging noise but don't think it is pinking (knock), maybe the compensator? The fuel octane spec in the Morgan handbook states 95/98 and the S&S manual says 91 or higher, even assuming that is AKI rather than RON that equates to 95RON and most fuel in Europe is 95 to 99 RON. The fuel octane shouldn't be a problem. Also there is a knock sensor on the back of the LH cylinder head that should prevent knocking via the ECU. If the high octane fuel and booster really does work though I will be happy to give it a go.
