Maybe I've turned into Miss Daisy..?

SBM,

I enjoy that style of travel, as well and sympathize with those that don't have the ability to enjoy that side of our hobbies. The LD riding isn't something I do every time I roll out the door. Two of my motorcycle trailers are "pop-up" campers (a solo & a double)which are heavy (595lbs & 740lbs respectively...loaded and ready to go) and the furthest thing from aerodynamic. Towing either, I run the speed limit or usually under as fuel consumption goes up exponentially above those speeds. While on a trip and camping along the way, you can't run up to the last minute and expect to find a place to camp at the late end of the day so it is a leisurely pace on time and mileage. There may come a day when trailers roll behind my M3W. Three of my cargo trailers (25 cu. ft.) are made of carbon fiber and weigh less than 200lbs (including on-board battery and air compressor)and are very aerodynamic.

This one I highly modified (mobile command center)...note refrigerator/freezer, auxiliary fuel tanks to transfer on the fly, etc.

Complete with air conditioner....

Solo on the left, double on the right...both have trailer brakes.

There is no wrong way...if you are doing what makes you happy (even though it may not have been your style some years back), it's all good. And by the same token, I'd rather be doing something wrong than doing nothing at all (while complaining about what & how others do it).

Again, just trying to determine the capabilities of the equipment based on real-world experience and/or owner perception who have been keeping track of the M3W longer than my limited exposure.

I'm more excited about M3W ownership than the day I got it...and that was pretty exciting.

Anyone know the alternator output?
