We are doing a very similar trip in early June, however SWMBO refused to do it in Mog, she seems to think it would be wet at some time while we are there....so it's the Audi for us, feel a bit soft now reading this......but happy to report back afterwards, at least I can approach all potential Mog hazards as if we were in it!
You have my sympathies. I too have reached a point where the
flies on ahead in comfort and with adequate luggage, and I take the car to meet her at the other end for day touring.
Could you negotiate something similar - sending the wife, luggage or even car on ahead?
