This is the one that gets me going. Watched an adult pavement cyclist today and what these idiots don't realise is that they are safer on the roads where they have a right of way. On the pavement (which is an offence - Highway Act 1835 [yes, really!], Section 72, Rule 64) they have no such right. They are in big danger from cars emerging from driveways; they have to slow in order to negotiate and cross every side-road on the left; and repeatedly have to adjust their speed to take account of the many obstacles they will find along the pavements. They would make much better (and safer) progress along the roads. I did speak to a local PC about this. He told me they have been trying for years to get it stopped but have now given up. I replied that I didn't realise that the police were allowed this level of discretion...

And as for cyclists wearing helmet cameras and thereby, it seems to me, looking for confrontation... ooo
