Until I saw him present the John Surtees programme a couple of weeks ago, I would have immediately said "no way" Yet another annoying "celebrity" chef jumping on the motoring bandwagon. But he came across as both an interested, very enthusiastic motoring fan and not treating the programme as a platform for him. So I give the idea a thumbs up!

As an aside, it is interesting reading the comments from both May and Hammond after JC was ousted. I thought that Hammond was quite subdued in what he said.
According to the DM ( if you can believe them!) May was seen going off for talks with JC and Andy Wilman to discuss proposals with anothe broadcaster and no mention of Hammond being involved. I wonder if he is planning to stay with the Beeb and TG? Probably a sensible move on his part.
