I have sprung for the titanium 2" wrap as I gave up on any attempt to keep the pipes looking clean and un-blued. They just get too hot! So the wrap.

First go round will be from the flex coupling to the oxygen sensor then a bit of jiggling around that then all the way up to the heads. Fine.

I would like to take whatever is extra (!) and use it to go back from the flex coupling the the slip joint of the muffler, which is about 12-13". That small section is blued and it flares from the coupling to the slip joint. The muffler section's color is fine and unchanged. Only that small interval is blued. It appears to be an expansion section for the gases before they hit the baffles.

Am I on the right track? Thoughts anyone?
