So I've been thinking. I'm getting on a bit now.. Late 50's. I have a few toys and beginning to feel the strain of having to look after them. I've never used garages for any work, preferring and enjoying to do my own. Of all the cars I've owned I think my Morgan was the most enjoyable, a rather strange mix of classic style motoring, with reliability and performance to go with it. Plus it's a far step away from the everyday boring cars out there. So this is my thinking... Sell a few of them.. I just can't bear to part with my Velo Thruxton yet (it's an admittance of being too old to ride!) so it'll stay. But selling a couple will fund a new or newish Morgan 4/4 or Plus 4 or an earlier Plus 8.
If the plan is to make this one a 'keeper' to see me right if not for good at least a few good years... What would you buy? I'm not a speed freak, don't do track days, have many nice B roads about.. Is a Plus 4 a good compromise? A new one would at least allow me to choose the spec and there has to be a good feeling in buying a new car? Never done it apart from work cars.. Arghh the dilemma...
