Hate this idea as it is adding a light weight oil to the belt which does not need it. Oil just holds dust and grit that will stick to it and further add to the eating of the sprocket.

I tried WD40 and silicone sprays, all to no avail. They sound fabulous for about fifteen minutes then the racket starts again.

They are purely cosmetic in that it just disguises, for the moment, a very real problem.


What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
