I'm trawling back through my fallible memory but I seem to recall that they were considering an entry level Speedster for each model, so this may be it.
Below poverty spec, obviously. Remember that the MGA and MGB's had a long list of extras, including the heater which wasn't standard until the mid sixties, when buyers went soft.
So MMC could drop the heater from the standard list and cut the price a bit more. It's Heritage you know.
Yes but when I bought my 1966 MG Midget new the cost of the heater was only £12. The total cost on the road was only £674
