You should be able from the back of the car to slide a spanner between the hood rail & the back valance and loosen the lock nut on the prong. Keep the Marina handle pulled out by putting something in it to hold it open at the same time.
The prongs are bent slightly. If they rotate they won't release.
If this works then you need to experiment with the best rotational position of the bent prong.
