The newer M3W seems to have remained faithful to the original in most areas except one, the original three wheelers were created to be affordable alternatives to the competition of the day. Sadly, that concept seems to have been lost.
Some of the problems listed here seem relatively minor, especially if they are repairable by the owner, but things like chassis cracks, premature wearing out of belt sprockets, repeated breaking of transmission shift linkage, etc., are pretty worrisome, especially at the prices the contemporary 3 wheeler seems to command.
What is the nature of the failed chassis problems? Are the chassis cracks occurring in the same places, and is the failure due to poor design, poor materials, poor workmanship, or all of the above? Are the replacements improved in any way to address the problem?
