Hi Guys, My Plus 8 is back at the factory at the moment. It seems it was indeed a cam shaft sensor that failed and the car has to be returned to the factory for the valve timing and all the associated auto mechanisms to be reset. John.
Bad luck John, the BMW V8's are usually bomb-proof whether in Mog's or even the X5's.
My Plus 8 has had a gearbox issue, again very unusual, but BMW/Morgan have both sorted the issue to my satisfaction. I'm sure they will do the same for you.
