As Hamwich and NorthernMorgan have said it depends on how much you want to play with scanners and how you want to use the car.

I really think you need to drive both and that will help you make up your mind. Touch ash, my 2011 4/4 Sport has proved utterly reliable in 3 years of ownership and meant I have been able to maximise time driving it, which is what I wanted.

Compared to other modern models it seems to be the most simple and uncomplicated model to look after.

Drive then both and you'll find out and which ever one you choose you will have lots of fun. One thing seems to be sorted is that it's not a case now of should you, but which one.
