Why is that Dave?

I really rate the Avon ZV5s on my car, a great compromise between dry and wet weather performance , good mileage and great price.

I know some compare the rather special Avon CR6 ZZ which is really a competition tyre, but that does have fantastic dry grip , good wet grip , but the price is of course sky high. All the racers use them as their tyre of choice when asked to go for "classic" 70 section cover, or as their wet weather tyre. Seeing them perform at Brands Hatch in atrocious wet and slippery conditions, was a revealation.
