I agree, it would involve quite a bit of arc welding. How many of us are competent at that?
I think not, hasn't the conversion been designed to bolt in.
The factory version is clearly welded though.

You are correct , the Suplex kit is designed as a bolt on, and with only one set of additional holes needing drilling (for the Panhard Rod) , so it can always be removed and transferred to another car, or removed before sale if you wish.
I expect that the bolts holding the clamps onto the axle are going to be a regular maintenance item though , and possibly not to easy to access from on top of the car?
