Been in touch with my dealer and got a quote for stage 1.
"The stage 1 kit include a special exhaust and air filter. After modification the power of the car will be: 100bhp, 97lb/ft." (incidentally, that means 15bhp less than what was advertised when I bought the car!)
But the killer is the heat shields. They originally said they would be kept, so I agreed with the quote and asked them to order.
Then I got this email:
"When I ordered you parts at the factory, they just informed me by mail – see copy hereunder that it’s possible to fit on your car but without the heat Shild.
I think that it’s not a good idea.
We can fit the current head Shield with bracket ( factory suggest this).
Unfortunately this is not include into the stage 1 kit, and it will be an extra of 455,84 € + VAT."
So that's €550 for a bracket (excluding fitting)!!!
I've read this thread and I understand that the stage 1 exhaust doesn't get as hot due to the design, but I'm still in two minds whether I want to lose the shields. I have 2 young kids… and I quite like the "machine gun" look but that price is ridiculous for a bracket!
