I think I'm going for the Fairbourne screen, does it give much extra shielding to the drivers outer hand?

At a recent M3W club meet I met a guy that had owned a 5 speeder from new in 2013. He had most of the updates fitted but the one that improved his driving experience the most he told me, was fitting the Fairbourne screen.
