IMHO I think it's a bit forward and a bit dangerous to post this as a 'fait accompli'.
Whilst JP's car did blow a 10A fuse and a 20A fuse 'sorted' the problem I would suggest we wait and hear what the factory say before jumping to conclusions that could possibly damage a car. There may be an item served by the fuse that could be damaged by a higher current (desperately wracking my brain back to A level physics).
Ian, I'm sure you meant well but I for one will await what the factory say before posting a definitive answer. After all I did 2000 miles in an S4 and many others have done many 000's of collective miles without hearing of another such problem.
Whilst TM would be more than happy to extend and help announce any recalls or changed I don't feel that TM should be creating them.
