I'm a trad man not an Aero- meister but I was very interested to read the various comments. As a number of you ( much better informed than I) have pointed out, the whole purpose of a fuse is to protect the circuit by acting as a 'weak point' which blows before the whole circuit goes.

Ok, upping the ampage of the fuse will sort that fuse blowing but it doesn't sort the root cause. Moreover, circuit melt is always a possiblity with an 'over guarded' fuse.

I'm going to watch this thread with interest.
