another 12 litres later and quite a few minutes later, I got to 49 litres at the pump, and a completely full tank.

So, trip computer was not wildly out, and is in fact quite accurate as 17 miles would take around 4 litres.

moral of the story? the DTE reading is quite accurate and reliable!


I'm no expert on this, but I've been assured if the pump is held at either the 'ten o'clock' or 'two o'clock' position when filling it should allow the tank to fill and not fool the pump into clicking off prematurely.

Any use..?
