filled up my ARP4 today, waited until range showing as 17 miles, and fuel gauge showing about 5% full (warning light having glared at me for a while!) .. very daring!

the pump clicked to a stop at 37 litres .. I was stunned, how could it be? How can 17 miles to go take another 18 litres of fuel?? Is the fuel gauge and trip computer that wildly inaccurate?

I decide to trickle fuel in to see how much more I could get in ...

another 12 litres later and quite a few minutes later, I got to 49 litres at the pump, and a completely full tank.

So, trip computer was not wildly out, and is in fact quite accurate as 17 miles would take around 4 litres.

moral of the story? the DTE reading is quite accurate and reliable!
