A good point Tim. It's probably a bit like the Fisheries fiasco......we toe the line to the absolute detriment of our fishing fleets and other EU countries don't.
A former colleague once told me that the Italians always found EU directives useful : they used to rip the paper into quarters and hung it in the loo.
