I think you will find a need for a seal of some sort. Rain tends to run down the screen, into the mounting and then onto your legs. It also comes in the centre where there is a gap. I was surprised at how dry you can stay in the rain with the Fairbourne screen, as long as long as you keep moving. The trim looks good.
Ditto that as discovered today on first tentative forays out in car with same screen, whilst attempting to dodge all too frequent rain showers. Not sure I'm up to Tim's excellent work though.
