Be careful Sir P., a friend had a nearly new tin top insured with LV that was unfortunately written off in an accident, definitely not of his fault. They took nearly 3 months to pay out after much wrangling over value, and if it had not been for the separate GAP insurance my friend would have been £12k out of pocket.
