That is a very interesting observation, what do you mean by adjusting properly? Is it that the rear catches are too tight or what?
It's any mixture of things...
Too tight, bent wrong, cable not lubricated, Morgan tolerances...(generally about a thumbs width, but no one is sure whose thumb...😜)
Sometimes the pin itself needs machining differently
Consider it "blue printing" as you would do to maximise output from an otherwise standard engine...
