I do hope you are right, Richard, but I'm very much afraid that too many people are going to end up falling for the Leave mythology.
One of my friends made the comment that Brexiteer politicians don’t want UK citizens to know what a relatively low standard of living they enjoy compared to most of EU, and I think he's got a good point. Closed borders are for keeping the populace in poverty.
To quote another friend, there is undoubtedly a lot wrong with the EU, but there's also a lot wrong with the UN, and nobody is suggesting we leave that. Let's hope that good sense rules emotion when it comes to deciding where to place one's mark on the ballot paper.
