Politicians quickly forget that they represent the will of the people, and assume the role of masters.
Democracy is the least worse option for most countries, although some do seem better controlled with dictators!
At the moment, the will of the people seems to be in favour of leaving the EU. The rhetoric from the Remain brigade is really pushing opinion the other way.
