As the owner of two 2-seaters (both a 'bit' older than yours) I'm afraid I can't help much. 4 seater batteries used to be in front of the bulkhead, left or right, depending on vehicle age. But, you've obviously looked there. I wonder if it has moved to under the rear seats if a small one?
