Second the Cetek - model is 3600 and can be plugged in via the "cigarette lighter" socket in the glove box, or a separate connection hard wired in (a quik-disconnect fitting is provided with the Cetek unit).
My battery is an Odyssey 960 (I think) and has been in the car since new (built late 2004) - mine is under the bonnet however so less likely to be affected by moisture. Despite being not used for over a year by the previous owner it is in perfect order.
