Using the oiler washes the grease out - probably not a good idea!
If oiler still fitted you will see a pipe leading away from the top of the kingpin, through the inner wing back to the bulkhead. When replacing with grease nipples, fit some blanking plugs to end of oiler pipe then suggest tying the oiler ends up to the cross brace behind the radiator.
This allows a future keeper to refit the oiler, if they really feel the need to...
