Martyn's - just because you fit remote greasing does NOT mean that you magically forget to check fastenings etc underneath from time to time. The remote system merely means you can grease the bearings - particularly when away on a trip - easily.
If you only take your garage queen out for Sunday jaunts, I agree there is no need for a remote system, but condescending comment to a new owner is hardly helpful as he might actually be thankful for remote greasing when away from home.
