While the M3W is registered as a Motorbike, to drive it you need a "B". This was verbally confirmed by the Strassenverkehrsamt Zurich (road traffic licensing department canton of Zurich) and can also be checked on this website:
http://www.stva.zh.ch/internet/sicherheitsdirektion/stva/de/StVAlf/LFkat.html...where it clearly states within the description for "B" that this includes three-wheeled vehicles not heavier than 3500kg.
