Hi All,
I need to remove all 4 wheels (5 including the spare) from the Roadster to be sent away to be powder coated. I have seen some posts on jacking up the whole car but having just had an experiment with axle stands at one end I am a bit nervous to say the least to try both ends. I see on the instructions to the stands that they are not to be used in 4's anyway.
I have sawn up a couple of sleepers and intend to use these as blocks instead in all 4 locations but I have some questions (following some dubious glances from wife and daughter) as to whether anyone a) thinks this is a good idea and better than the stands, b) whereabouts to place the blocks front and rear, and c) the correct sequence to carry out the operation.
Also, and finally, would anyone suggest using a wooden tool for removal of the two eared spinners?
All comments / ideas most welcome.
Many Thanks
G idea
