No problem in using 2 matched pairs of axle stands so everything is at the same height.
I place the front stands on the lower tubes of the cross head and the rear stands where the rear cross member meets the chassis rails.
I have two pairs of Sealey Yankee 3 ton stands which are just wide enough to fit round the chassis rails and have a half moon cut away to fit snugly round the lower crosshead tubes.
