Beside the here discussed possibilities, "how" to change an engine or a car, I must honestly say that I fully! agree with Tim. Don't alter (= destroy residuals) a brand new car and especially don't do it in such a substantial manner.
Somehow this thread has to handle two objectives ... one path is about what "could" be done (generally) and on the other hand there are the thoughts about what "should" be done - or even not - considering Paul's specific car and situation.
