Anyway, back to the original subject. Cars do wear out. They do mostly get to the point where repair is a pointless waste of money, and cars that are expensive when new become even more expensive to keep going in old age. At what mileage this happens is indeterminate but probably somewhere between 100 and 150k miles. So unless you think that your Aero is another 250GTO in the making and likely to be worth squillions in its old age, a 30k miles example is maybe 30% used up.

And there is another factor making this more significant than used to be the case - the arrival of electronics. Its one thing to remake a crankshaft, its another altogether to remake an ECU
