Yorkshire's moors just a few miles South . Then Cumbria not to far west with the Lakes etc . But the best is just a few miles North , Northumberland no better county in Britain the coast hills and its secrets are there to find We can rise have b/fast do Hadrians wall turn North up into Scotland . Castles all over head over to the east and down the coast popping into any harbour pub and the roads are quiet . You can keep your tropical island pink sand and turquoise warm sea lapping at your feet and the wine . Much rather be walking the Northumberland hills and sitting on a rock with a flask of coffee eating a sandwich .
