Is CE approval a good guide to a quality product ? I am looking at car lifts and am trying to access what the build quality is , no idea who makes any of it as it doesn't say !
The CE mark from companies beyond the reach of the legal system ( eg China) is meaningless. I is self awarded and all it says is that the product complies with EU standards and is legally available for sale in the EU. But if it doesnt actually comply, what are you going to do about it?
There is no independant inspection.
