We all live too short a life, yes, it is nice to have a satisfying and rewarding job. I enjoyed my working life, it was most interesting working for a large global company and it came with many opportunities to travel international, meet many interesting customers , colleagues. Do I miss it, not at all. There is plenty of life after work, trying to catch up on the missed time with family, grandchildren and friends, they are far more important than work ever was, I now realise that. Am I missed at work sure,, when colleagues reflect on good times while standing around the coffee machine or if I call in. Was I replaced ofcourse by a different person who does the job differently, will they survive ofcourse.
