KML or GPX is the file you can enter in Google maps or your Sat Nav (even in your mobile) , so any one have this file can follow your path or modify it based on is own needing.

Thanks. I interpret this to mean that I can plot a route in a KMX or GPX file and then download it onto my phone (it's a windows 10 phone, I know that much!
My navigator has an apple, except that she shouldn't really be called a navigator, more a sleeping policeman. She wakes up and KNOWS that I have been driving too fast. And her apple is not for GPS, but for looking at recipes and daft dog videos.

Also, good advice about hiring clubs, why didn't I think of that?
