Inspired by all the Trads with wing mounted number plates I wanted to see what a plate would look like on the wide wing of a Plus 8.
This is what it looks like, positioned in place but not fixed.
OK, it works and I rather like it, but a big "BUT"...
Removing the number plate box reveals a rather messy area between the grill and valence, this is the close-up.
To make it all look neat a new under cowl or longer radiator grill would be needed: both are possible but neither would be cheap or easy.
So the original number plate is going back: at least it is now clean and polished!!
I'll let someone else pick up this idea.
