Phase two:
First the voltmeter.
Underneath, first I removed the Reflect-a-cool foil then added three additional holes. I reapplied the foil.
On the top I've added two more holes and enlarged the other three.
The fuel gauge will be the real challenge.
Underneath I've added three large holes and enlarged the existing hole slightly. There's nothing in the way inside.
On top its harder, because there are things in the way. I've added five more holes, but the sizes are not consistent due to obstacles inside.
So now I await another opportunity to test. I really need a cold morning................
