A brief update.
My (2005) gauges are still OK, but when running the engine in the garage one day, the oil pressure gauge misted up!
Apparently there have been mixed messages from the manufacturer (of the gauges) with an implication that the gauges are sealed units. My Roadster gauges are certainly not sealed, having vents top and bottom. I haven't yet investigated the Plus 4 gauges.
Some newer Trad cars with the three large gauges are also apparently suffering with bad misting up, which is a problematic issue if the factory consider it to be normal!
